• Select the country from the drop down menu “Location: Country” and insert the city or region in “Location: City or Region” to get the specific data;
• Insert the n factor related to building heating type (cell D1) (the explanation of n factor is presented below);
• Insert the R factor related with the type of construction of building (cell D2) (the explanation of R factor is presented below);
• Insert the total heating area of the building (cell  D5);
• Insert the average temperature of the building depending on the building’s purpose (cell D6);
• The annual heat energy demand of the building under selected conditions for different regions* in Ukraine will be displayed in column F in the table.

n Factor:

• Complete building is heated:  n* = 1
• Building with unheated basement above the ground: n* = 0.75
• Building with unheated basement below the ground: n* = 0.5

R factor:

• brick 0.25m R = 0.318
• brick 0.38m R = 0.483
• gas concrete DIN 4165 (0.2) R = 1.378
